Non-Perishable Food Drive
Canaan Railroad Days creates a wonderful atmosphere of caring, community, and appreciation! Please join the Canaan Post Office in supporting our local food bank

St. Joseph Annual Festival
9:00 a.m. Sausage & Chicken Grinders luncheon. Chicken BBQ dinner . Great raffle prizes, tag sales, vendors, popcorn, and children’s corner. Sponsored by St. Joseph Church.
Canaan Union Station Restoration Funding
All day and evening. The CT Railroad Historical Association will be selling shirts, mugs, hats, etc. Lawrence Field.
Model Railroading Operative Display
9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Canaan Union Station. Model trains will be operating and on display at the historic Canaan Union Station (currently being restored). Will be showing the ( Last Train to Pittsfield by Tom Barry/ John Mullen ) throughout the day. Winner of the 2008 Kent Film Festival, most popular short, is a mesmerizing documentary blend of fact and whimsy. Sponsored by the Torrington Area Model Railroaders.
Build a Tool Box:
Come and build a toolbox with your child in these free workshops at 10:00am , noon , and 2:00pm. All tools and materials provided . For kids ages 8 and up ; accompanied by and adult. Call in to sign up: 860-824-5443x246 ask for Robert Twing.

10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Craft fair located at the corner of Routes 7 & 44 sponsored by Canaan Chamber of Commerce.

Noon – 4:00 p.m. Under the Pavillion. All types of music welcome. Drummer bring snare and sticks. All others bring guitar, amps, etc. No more than 3 songs. Sign up at Old School Deli by July 5th..
McDonald’s Fireworks Car Cruise
6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Display of classic, antique, muscle, street rods, and any collectible cars.
A $5 donation: includes parking, dash plaques and 25 trophies. There will be 60-70’s music. Sponsored by Olde Yankee Street Rods. .
Boy Scout Glow Ring Sale
6:00 p.m. – Dusk. Boy Scout Troop 22 will be selling glow rings at Lawrence Field.

Guess How Many?
Guess how many batteries in the jar, closest guess wins a Prize. Come to Mahaiwe Jewelers during normal business hours (9-5) 7/10 – 7/18 to enter.
Coloring Contest / Raffle
Coloring contest : Stop by during regular business hours and pick up a coloring sheet. Every entry receives a goodie bag. Prizes to be awarded for the best in age group: 3-4yrs, 5-7 yrs, 8-10 yrs. Winners need not be present. Sponsored by People’s United Bank, 7/10 – 7/19.
Raffle: Stop by during regular business hours to enter to win a $50 Stop & Shop Gift Card. Winner need not be present. Drawing on Sunday July 19th.
Railroad Trivia Question Of The Day
Stop in at the Maine Caboose Café daily and answer a railroad trivia question. At closing of each day we will randomly select an entry until a correct answer is found. Winner will receive a free small ice cream or small coffee and muffin. All entries with the correct answer will be put into a drawing on July 18th to win a pie of their choice.
